LogicalLeadGuitar.com Newsletter #9

Hello again from Chicago. I've got a couple of great exercises for you in this newsletter, plus a free book download – a sample of the Logical Lead Guitar course.

Now Let's Play!

There is no end to the things you can work on which will improve your overall guitar playing, and your ability to understand and play lead guitar. In the Logical Lead Guitar course, I've included literally dozens and dozens of exercises, plus all the essential scale and arpeggio patterns, and, hundreds of example riffs taken directly from those patterns. And almost all of these are demonstrated on DVD in close-up detail.

Here are a couple of essential exercises you'll want to dig into:

In this first example, Exercise 5 from my LLG course book "15 More Fret-Hand Exercises," you'll leave your first finger out and just use your second, third and fourth fingers. This isn't always easy, but if you really want to be a good player…

If that one proves too frustrating (for now, I know you'll come back to it, right?), try this easy first finger/third finger walk across the strings:

Play these patterns as shown, then slide them up a fret and do them again, then up another fret and another fret until you've played them at every fret you can reach. This would be one "round" of playing the exercise. It takes a lot of rounds to really become proficient!

And exercises such as these are the quickest and most efficient way to improve your fret-hand finger dexterity and the synchronization of your fret- and pick-hand. I've been working on these and many more exercises just like them regularly for decades, and I continue to do so on a weekly basis. Make them part of your daily practice routine and your overall guitar playing will really begin to show improvement.

These exercises are just two of the essential drills in my book "15 More Fretboard Exercises."

Can I give you a free copy of the whole book right now?

What Is Logical Lead Guitar?

If you've already learned your scales but still don't understand how they are used to play music and solos on the guitar, THIS IS THE COURSE FOR YOU!

Or if you only know some of the five different pentatonic and seven different diatonic scale patterns which cover the fretboard in any key, THIS IS THE COURSE FOR YOU!

Or if you don't know anything at all about scales but want to learn, THEN THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE MOST USER FRIENDLY COURSE FOR YOU!

Logical Lead Guitar is a DVD-based guitar course that goes where no other course has gone before! Instead of just showing you scale patterns and a few exercises, and then leaving you on your own to figure out how pro guitarists actually use these scale patterns to play awesome solos, I've actually shown you – on DVD and in nearly 500 Tab and sheet music examples – exactly how to break scales and arpeggios apart string by string and fret by fret and actually do something useful with them!

The course includes two DVDs (nearly four hours of close-up instruction), a one-hour audio CD packed with sample solos and jam tracks, and 11 course books totaling 563 pages!
