| "Esteemed
Music Journalist Adam St. James" – Jeff
Schroedl, Editor, Guitar Edge magazine
Hi, I'm Adam St.
James, author of Logical Lead Guitar, and I've got an incredible
vault of guitar knowledge I'm eager to share with you. Let
me explain:
Millions
of guitar players have read my guitar lessons, how-to articles,
and celebrity interviews on Guitar.com, Musician.com, MusiciansFriend.com,
GuitarVision.com and BluesQuest.com. During a 20 year music
journalism career I've contributed regularly to such publications
as Guitar World, Guitar World Acoustic, Frets, Guitar Edge,
Guitar (for the Practicing Musician), Guitar Shop, Bass
Player, Maximum Guitar, and dozens of other major magazines,
newspapers, and websites around the globe.
Along
the way, I've had the great pleasure to personally interview
B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin,
the Allman Brothers, Buddy Guy, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai,
Eric Johnson, Ritchie Blackmore, Robin Trower, 3 Doors Down,
blink 182, Disturbed, Slipknot, Soundgarden, Pete Anderson,
Kenny Burrell, George Benson, and hundreds of other major
guitarists in the genres of rock, blues, jazz, folk, country,
and classical.
I've
discussed guitar techniques in detail with these greats
and, in many cases, had them personally demonstrate –
just for me – much about their styles of playing guitar.
I've even produced instructional videos with many of these
inspiring musicians, and continue to do regular video production
with rock stars and guitar virtuosos to this day.
Maybe You've Read My Books

Perhaps
more importantly, however, is the fact that hundreds of
thousands of practicing musicians already have purchased
my books. You'll find them on bookshelves in thousands of
locations, including Guitar Center, Barnes & Noble,
Musicians Friend.com and music and book stores worldwide.
My titles include:101 Guitar Tips: Stuff
All The Pros Know And Use, 101 Recording Tips, 101 Singing
Tips, Incredible Scale Finder, and Picture Chord Encyclopedia.
In addition I have edited many great guitar instructional
books for the world's largest music publisher, Hal Leonard.
But
I Play Too!
I've been playing guitar for more than 30 years, teaching
for 25, and as of summer, 2007, still perform regularly in
one of the hottest bands in Chicago, The Almost Brothers Band,
a top-notch Allman Brothers and Southern rock tribute band.
As I write this (July '07) I'm getting ready to boogie off
to Rock-Fest in northern Wisconsin, where we have a gig this
weekend with Kiss, Collective Soul, Three Doors Down, Third
Eye Blind, and Gov't Mule. I also regularly play acoustic
solo and duo gigs, and I regularly sit in with a wide range
of incredible musicians, including many of Chicago's best
blues players, of course. Basically, I live to play guitar!
And here's a few other guitar-related events, jobs, and experiences
that have increased my knowledge and understanding of the
guitar, music, and the music biz:
- As
a performer, I've shared stages with artists as disparate
as Slayer, Megadeth, and Motorhead, to Reggie Wooten and
Rik Emmett, to Tinsley Ellis and Robben Ford.
- I've
performed at the Fender Catalina Blues Festival, the Coral
Gables Blues Festival, and the Buffalo-Niagara Guitar
Festival, among others.
- I've
traveled with and guitar-teched for Sammy Hagar and his
Waboritas – even wrote Sammy's tour programs.
- I've
been to almost every NAMM trade show since the mid-'80s,
and worked or reviewed guitar shows nationwide.
- I
ran online guitar magazine Guitar.com and vintage guitar
shopping mall Gbase.com for years.
- I
edited and oversaw the entire printing process for Fender
Frontline magazine.
- I've
spent days and weeks in guitar factories and string factories
and Custom Shops for numerous manufacturers, including
Fender, Washburn, D'Addario, Gibson, Planet Waves, Randall,
Matchless, B.C. Rich, and more?
- I've
judged annually at the North American Rock Guitar Championships
along with fellow guitar experts from Guitar Player, Guitar
One, MTV, VH-1, and Gibson guitars.
- Sat
in countless recording studios and watched the likes of
Collective Soul or famous producers such as Tom Dowd lay
down their magic.
Oh, yeah, I've even gotten a couple of artists signed by serious
record labels, too. In short, I've done a lot of things in
my adult life and professional career, and almost all of them
relate to guitar, one way or another. I'm
Eager To Share What I've Learned
It would
be fair to say that I know and understand the guitar to
a degree most players will never achieve, and I'm eager
to share my knowledge with you, starting right now! My techniques,
exercises, and fretboard concepts have proven overwhelmingly
successful with countless private and group guitar students
in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Miami.
Now
I'm ready to show you the exact riffs, musical moves, and
even shortcuts that will make you the best guitarist you
can be, possibly the best guitarist your friends and audiences
have ever seen – and if you put my techniques fully
to work, perhaps even one of the best guitarists I'll ever
interview!
I'm
putting all this information together now in a new course
titled "Logical Lead Guitar," and I'll begin sharing
it with you for free right now! Just use our convenient
